I have attached a pic of the way I want to finish my
rain cap in my masonry chimney flue.
Will that way be ok?
Thanks

Not sure what you are asking here. Are you putting a S/S flex liner down the masonry flue? Is the cap the same brand as the liner? The flex liner should terminate at the top of the masonry flue with a top plate to seal it. Then then flex liner is attached to that, and then the cap. That one doesn't look like it goes with that liner?

Technically you will want to use the cap top plate and storm collar from the manufacturer as that is what is UL approved as a chimney liner system. But if you built yourself a top plate (square chunk of heavy gauge sheet metal with a hole cut in the center) and a storm collar that would probably work. Technically...
Liability wise I would just pony up for the listed components from the manufacturer. No matter how careful we are etc. etc. chit can happen and you never want to give an insurance company any reason to deny a claim.

Thanks

I can not find a cap for a 4' diameter and a plate of 13x13
Can anybody tell me where can I buy it?
I ordered from a web site and the cost was 50$, they have told me that I need to buy the liner too.
