went to lowes they had 2 task force 5 ton electric splitters..one was marked 299.00 and one marked 170.00..they were located in different parts of the store....they were identicle...same model number everything...so i got the 170 one took it to the counter...she rang it up...and it rang up 299.... i showed her the price tag and that it said 170...they gave it to me for 170.00..i was a happy man

Nice! I picked up a second hand one the other day. Just don't grab that bar at the end while it's retracting if you want to keep your fingers. Also, know that it will bend the guide rods if your not careful. Other than that, it handles almost everything I throw at it.
