In the spirit of this luv fest I've decided to light a fire, instead of holding up a lighter.

That took two days longer than I thought it would.

Congratulations Craig!
In my profession, I have frequented many forums.....never one anything like this one. I have burned wood for almost 40 years, been in code enforcement for over 30 years, and when I found this place was amazed at how little I knew, how much fun it could be talking with people who shared my love for it. Members are all truly like a family, sharing triumphs and tragedies. People from all walks of life get along and respect and help each other.
It is truly an amazing place.
Thanks Craig,
Steve

Craig... congrats..do you plan on selling at some point? I've seen many of these sites sell off after a certain threshold was met.

Congratulations, Craig! I visit a lot of different forums on the internet, but this place is by FAR has the kindest, most helpful people. When I was getting my feet wet three years agao with wood burning again as an adult, this place made it an easy transition. Thanks!

Just love the place. Has a spot for me much like the late Corey Ford did in Field and Stream for so many years when I was growing up...............................So of you old timers might remember what I am talking about.

Been quite a run for ya Craig. And as far as I know of no members have either married or murdered each other. That has to be a first for an Internet common interest site that has been up this long.

Keep on keeping on.
BB You're killing me, you're killing me!

Whut? This isn't hearthnet.net anymore? Dang, I have been posting to the wrong forum.

Quite a run Craig. You have a great team of mods, a great forum and a heck of a good group of members.

Hats off to the old timers that have answered "that" question for the 50th time. It is new to somebody. I suggest putting fresh batteries in the mouse and keyboard. I think its about to get busy around here.

Craig, I would like to talk to you about one member, you know...that Delta guy?

This forum has helped myself and family members with numerous Q+A.
I check in almost daily and always come away with a good tip.
Keep up the awsome work guys!!!

Congratulations Craig on the milestone! This site introduced me and many others to gassification boilers and other cleaner burning methods. I think I stumbled on an Central Boiler ad in Mother Earth (I believe) magazine I was reading in a waiting room several years ago. While researching that, I stumbled onto Hearth.com and it has been a joy reading, learning, and interacting with everyone here. It's good to see that original website. Reminds me of some of that BBS stuff too from way back when. It must have been about 92 or 93 that a very good professor I had introduced us to the Mosaic browser and the web. I remember dialing in from home to my unix account, running a socket program someone created, which would have been my first ISP. A buddy of mine got a cable modem in 97 and I remember how incredible that speed was compared to our dial ups. I remember a quote in an old Physics book remarking that "it was an exciting time to be alive!" (circa 1900) with all the discoveries at that time but that "today (circa 1990) was still a good time to be alive!" I didn't realize it at the time how true that was.

Craig and the rest of you. There really is no words to express my gratitude for the service, support, funnies, warmth, awareness, chit-chat AND KNOWLEDGE here in this community. I have learned so much from everyone here. I only wish I got my self a beer and a hat earlier this month! oh well, I'll wait till next year. Love and Peace.. Happy Burning and be CAREFUL and SMART.

So, how can we see the post count for ourselves? I see a number at the top, but that refers to the thread, not the post count itself, right?

Craig, I love this place and this group, thanks for providing it!

Hey Craig,

I have burned wood off and on from the time I was a teenager stacking wood for my parents forced air wood furnace. I use to love to go down cellar and keep the fire going for them. My brothers and I made it pretty much so they didn't even have to add to and check during the day and evening. My father just had to do the middle of the night feed on the coldest nights. After a long time away from burning wood and living in too many apartments I bought a house. And about six years ago I finally went back to burning wood. Don't know what took me so long, and have now stopped kicking myself in the arss for taking so long. Started in a new wood stove. A Pacific Energy Super 27. When that started I could not believe I had been away from burning wood for that long. It was like I had been without an old friend. I hope I burn wood for the rest of my life. You know how they say, Do what you love...." Well I could see how burning wood could add so many years to my life through exercise and more importantly just plain old being happy with what I am doing. C/S/S and burning wood to keep the family warm. And that all important feeling I get from the fire. Don't know how else to describe that. And I don't have to. All the burners here know what I mean

I found this site when I was considering moving from the Wood Stove to a wood burning boiler. Did a google search for wood boilers and somehow ended up here. I had not even heard of a Gassification boiler before. Spent some time reading and after about six months I am now a happy owner of a wood gassification boiler in my basement with storage. It is now heating my entire house house, garage and my domestic hot water. Very cool. This site is the best site on the internet. It has great information, great members, great moderators, administrators, and all that means a great founder. And I respect all of you. For lack of a better term on my part, it is a classy joint. I spend a little time in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and whenever I find a few minutes in between to get my Hearth.com "fix"!!!!! I enjoy this place very much.

So thanks man.

Gasifier.
