woke up to the alarm/radio this morning and caught the tailend of the weather and I could have swore I heard the weatherman say "......3 to 6 inches by Saturday night...."...so we went downstairs, turned on the news and yep, they confirmed it......just a tad early I think, but looking forward to it!!...lol....guess I better bring another load into the basement cause it's gonna be a wet swamp out back for a couple of days!

Im in western PA, i dont think we are supposed to get anything, but im gonna bring some wood in tonight while its still somewhat nice out. That and im down to only a couple peices left inside anyway, so either way i would have to do it.

yeah it's gonna miss you guys, at least as of last report.....but it's gonna slam Somerset, Blair Huntington east......esp. if the upper air temps stay cold from this High pressure system that is stalled here right now.....may be an interesting morning in the treestand tomorrow....lol....

Ill think of you freezing and blowing around in your tree stand while im running the beagles and chasing rabbits!

They are calling for 6-10" in the Susquehanna valley.... Still leaves on the trees. I have not yet been able to get all of the downed trees cleaned up from the tropical storms.....

Yeah yer gonna have yer hands full, that is a real bummer cause I hate to see these healthy trees take a hit like that, wish it was a little deeper into the fall cause the oak trees aren't shed of all their leaves yet....get yer chainsaw ready!

According to that map Shawn, over here in my neck of the woods we should be getting 6-10....Snedecker, the local morning weather guy said 1-4.....WTF???

Gamma,

Snedecker hasn't gotten his dart throwing arm up to snuff yet this year.

Im ready for the snow, got the T5 fired up and wood stacked under front porch, as my oldest son the Marine would say, "Bring it on"

I hear ya.....we're already gettin pounded here west of State College.....gonna be an interesting game over at Beaver Stadium today!

We have a good 5" on the ground and getting maybe another 3". Jotul up to 500' and wood stacked under hearth and on front porch. Yes I'm ready.

Crazy. Forecast calls for 5-8 in the Lower Hudson Valley. I have some wood on the front porch and my tractor cart is loaded in the shed. Front blade and chains are on the tractor. I was hoping to mow the lawn on Sunday! This is gonna be messy with wet, heavy snow falling on trees that still have most of their leaves! Fireview has been going nonstop since Thursday night ans will continue for the foreseeable future. Looks like we are all gonna burn some wood early this season.

You are right on, and if we get what they are sayin, we're gonna have plenty of tops to cut up this winter....just drove by my neighbors out the street and his huge tulip poplar is shedding big branches already, and it is still snowing like all getout!
