Well the igniter finally gave up the ghost in the Mt. Vernon AE.

This Purell Hand Sanitizer is a great additive as a fire starter!

Cheaper than the fire starter gels!

I just thought of that trick a couple weeks ago. I bought the cheaper store brand to try and it works. Just wanted it on hand in case I needed to start the stove by hand if needed.

If you have a dollar store nearby its a good spot to score cheap sanitizer/fire starter.

I've been told that Vaseline and cotton balls makes a great starter. Haven't tried it myself, though - ignitor is still working!

Hand Sanitizer and then hit them a minute with the Propane Torch, works for me.

I just use the Torch.

I have one of those push button starts on it. Just takes about 15 seconds and it is lit.
