Ugh, no, I don't think I am quite ready. But my daughter would be really happy.

Because I spent my formative years growing up north of Caribou, Maine, I'm used to snow that falls as early as the last part of August, while picking potatoes.

That said, here in Connecticut, it is a tad early, but heck............that keeps me from having to RAKE LEAVES!!

If you do not rake the leaves in the fall, then you have to rake them in the spring!

Like Pay me now or Pay me later!

Also a sure thing in life. Death, taxes and LEAVES !!! LOL

The Tree in my 1st post of our flowering plum tree that still has leaves!!

OH NO WE ARE GOING TO GET LIKE A FOOT OF SNOW !!! SO NOT READY FOR THIS GOT TO GET OIL FOR MY SNOW BLOWER ASAP.

Race against time. I've got the head pulled on my snowblower motor and I don't know if I'm a gonna make it!

My wife is telling me the snow is going to melt anyway. She doesn't understand.

Chained up and put the front blade on the tractor Friday afternoon. I am most concerned about falling trees. I am at work in NYC until 8 or 9 tonight. Wife is home alone. She lost power at 2 pm. I have an hour ride home in good weather.

Got the leaves out of the gutter, picked up an extra bottle of Orloff's. Cleaned the stove. Getting rid of the old Orloff's before it goes bad.

5-10" here too. I tossed a Blower on one of the tractors and put tarps over some of my other equipment that is staying outside as well as the wood piles. I also went out and bought a generator, just in case we lose power (I've been thinking about it for a while, but didn't bother getting one until today). Now I'm just going to sit by the fire and watch the snow come down.

Jason

5-10 No problem..... Plow to you all!

THis is bad. Trees down and power out all over. Major roads closed in NY Metro area. I am still at work in NY. Don't know what it's gonna take to make my 42 mile ride home tonight.

 That is true soupy. But come spring, they will still be there for. I find the best thing to do at that point is run over them with the riding mower a few times. Have a good one.

Can't let that stuff go bad! Oh, wait a minute. I don't think it will go bad. My father is not much of a drinker. He has some bottles up in his attic that have to be 25 years old. How good do you think that stuff is. Enjoy. I had a little Sky last night. Hit the spot nicely.

We are going to be lucky here. Nor easter is going to miss us. Good luck and stay safe. These storms can get dangerous.

Hello

Go safely. This is a nasty storm. Maybe just try to hole up at work until they get the worst cleared?

Yup, nasty all right.
