I woke up this morning planning to ride dirtbikes in the mountains with my wife. She had other plans so I had to be brought up to speed. Apparently I was not going to get to ride because we will be leaving for vacation next weekend and she doesn't want to have any bruises on the beach. I spent most of the morning cleaning windows and then I had to clean my office. Shortly before noon I told her I had cabin fever and had to get out. We went to the wood pile and got about 3 hours of work in. It is amazing how much wood 2 people can process even by hand in 3 hours.

We split and stacked enough for 5 pallets double stacked with a max height of 6' and also had a picnic lunch over a fire. Now I fell like I did something for the day.

BTW, I did get to ride 2 weeks ago and some of the pics were still on the camera so I had to attach one.

Progress??? You are a wood hog.
Very nice, good air circulation, dry.
The wood is good for many years.
Hope you never fill it up, then what would you do.
You either are or in the process of being addicted !
Great pics.
Very nice shed!! :)

Bspring, nice work on the wood. Looks like you have a great view when out on the dirt bikes.

Sounds like a good day even without the riding. My girlfriend also rides and though we don't get out as much as she'd like, the times we do she loves every minute. It's also a plus when she comes out to help split and stack.

Here'a pic from one of our outings, she always manages to avoid the camera right when i push the button

Great pictures. HOpe you have a good vacation.

Nice work man. Cool pics. Keep them coming. How are the temperatures down your way? Need any fires in the house yet? I use to live in Bennettsville, S.C.. About an hour north of Myrtle Beach I guess. Construction job of a paper mill I was working on.

Bogdave, I know I have a problem but it is a healthy problem. I am actually embarassed for my friends or neighbors to see my wood supply. One told me my wood would rot before I ever had a chance to use it.

Zapny and SmokinPiney, I am from MS so it is a real treat to be so close to the mountains and all of the beautiful views now. We spend as much time as we can up there.

Backwoods, I promise to have a good time.

Gasifier, as I type this I have a fire going. Last night was our first frost. I heard on the news that we are 10 degrees lower than normal for this time of year.
