Feeling the Heat
Can someone tell me where this snow came from ? It's not even Halloween yet dangit.
I was busy yesterday trying to split and stack the norway maple my neighbor had cut down a few days ago....I didnt make it...not even on a pallet yet. I'm stressed now...I hate wood getting all wet even if its not for next season.

On my todo list is a nice covered wood bin.

On the positive side I see more scrounging work to be done around the neighborhood :)

This early in the season, there's bound to be a thawed stretch before the snows stick around. I rely on mid-winter thaws to get on the roof and do chimney inspection/cleaning.

I don't get concerned with a little moisture like that. The wood will be fine. As for the snow, it could have been worse. The most I've read about so far is 21.8" of snow yesterday.

Dennis - yep, that's about how much we have on the ground - hopefully a good week to melt it down! Cheers!

Should still have another month or so of more or less snow-free conditions . . . this last storm was a fluke.

Luckily most of our snow is very "dry" not wet and heavy in can usually blow it off with a leaf blower
