So, today is 1st. time of leaving home with stove burning.
I stopped by at noon to shut her down and there is the darn cat, sleeping on top of the hopper lid!
Now I have to find a bronze statue or somethin to take up space.
I hate the thought of cat hair filling up the squirrel fan of convection blower!
No chance to grab a camera, he knew I had fire in my eyes and he took off when I
walked into the room.

You do not understand at all, your entire purpose in life is the serve the cat.

You must do nothing to upset the cat.

You may not put something on the stove to prevent the cat form sleeping where it wants.

You must clean up the fur balls where ever they go and never hold that against the cat.

These I know for a fact are parts of the building code for pets according to my cat.

Dont have a cat but my dog loves laying by the stove and snapping at the sparks being ignited from the pellet dust.

He likes the stove as much as we do. Im sure i will have some hair in blowers but i will get it when maintenance time comes around.

I knew there was a good reason to fasten a metal screen over the squirrel fan housing.
I hope it helps to keep debris (cat & dog hair) out or at least easier to clean.

Can't count the computer power supplies I have had to replace over the years because of my wife's cat.

Yes, I'm sure there might be, but again, it's only a cat. I've found them to be great targets for my .22, or if there's a large number of them, the 12 ga works nicely. :coolsmirk:

Yes!

Cats are just the same as any other sub-25lb creature that makes the mistake of crossing my stone wall. If it really is your pet and you love it so much, keep it in the house or at least in your yard. It probably wouldn't be so bad if our neighbor didn't have 40 of them. And I think they are half rabbit or something, they seem to breed faster than I can pick them off...

Same problem here. Then when one gets hit by a car, as they inevitably do, the neighbors cry and boo-hoo. My other neighbors have those tiny dogs that constantly bark, chit-zoo, or something like that, I'd like to drop kick those little rats.

Too bad we can't somehow use them for heat....

ummm.... wow

I will leave it at that
