i have a 25-pdvc stove may be getting to much air

what to watch out for if there is two much air coming in from the oak

Not sure what you're saying here. The amount of air coming in through the OAK is solely dependent on the speed of the combustion blower.....nothing else.

Only option is to lower the LBA, but that only affects heat range 1 or 2 on a PDV, IIRC.

Don't think that would be a good idea. Have you already tried closing down the damper? (assuming there is one on your stove)

so if the pellets are burning to fast it will not help to block part of the oak off ?

Is your fire going out?

What heat range are you running in?

Is your stove at factory defaults or have you changed the low burn settings?

Have you changed the burn program your controller is set at?

I wouldn't recommend blocking off a portion of that OAK until you tell us what is going on with the stove settings.

Please add the stove model to the thread title that way Mike Holton from England Stove Works will know the post is about one of his companies stoves.

No damper on that stove.

Could be lack of enough fuel. You could look into the bottom of hopper and make sure the slide is open all the way.

When did Englander add a fuel gate in the hopper? My 2001 pdvc doesn't have one.

Don't know when they started, but my '05 has one.
