So I need to weld up a replacement burn tube assembly for the Lopi 380/96 (Endeavor). Should I just use mild steel or something better? I've had issues with this thing warping and eventually failing in the past. Is stainless better at resisting the high heat? I know it would be expensive but...

When I had my Endeavor the burn tubes were stainless.

The older 380/96 has this rectangular tube with "wings" for the brick baffle. I wish it was just stainless tubes... So, stainless corrodes less at high temp, is that it?
