Now, that's an idea!! I'm going to give the freebies a try. If they work out for me, I'm going to place an order. What about the wax in them?? Any issues with EPA stoves?

If the wax is an issue, then we've totally ruined our EPA stove that also has a catalyst. Not so, the cat is fine and so is the stove.

Great to know, Backwoods. Thanks.

No . . . if memory serves me correctly I believe Blaze Kings might even be sold with a complimentary Super Cedar or two . . . the wax is highly refined paraffin . . . again . . . my memory isn't so great . . . but I believe that's what Thomas has said in the past . . . very clean burning.

I'm pretty new here, but have wanted to try Super Cedars. Where do you get the free samples?

My stove is now installed, and I had my break-in burns last night and this morning. I used the fire-starter that Northline Express sent with my chimney pipe. That will soon be gone, so it's time for the Super Cedars. In the meantime, I think I have some Duraflame starters somewhere in the garage....

Here's a link to the info: https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/77926/

Was your free sample a hockey puck looking thing by any chance?

Thanks for the link. My sample was a rectangle with 3 subdivisions for breaking it. It felt a little like compressed cardboard.
