just like the title says . how hot is to hot for you jotul owners?
500-550 is pretty easy for me to get to.
dont really need it to get that hot yet, temps outside arent cold enough yet.

doesnt really say in the owners manual....so 650 would that still be safe for this stove?

i just have to say im amazed at the heat this little stove puts out. plenty of heat for our place . the front glass really makes a big difference

anyways what you guys think?

oh and i get temps for stove on the right side 3/4 the way up. with a rutland temp gauge
one of the only flat spots on the stove i could put it.
dont think it would be very accurate on the top with all the fancy checks.

Six fifty is fine. That is the target temp for mine on the side. 10-4 on the glass. I used to heat my basement office with the little hoss. Because of the un-insulated walls and 1,000 sf open down there it would take till noon to get the place up to seventy. But I had the stove aimed right at my desk and the radiant heat from the glass would have me toasty by the second cup of coffee in the morning from a cold start.

650 eh . good to know
havent needed that much heat yet
but just was wondering.
its at about 400 or less right now and plenty warm in here.
was 68 when we got home and less than 2 hours its 75 in here now!

hate to say it but it needs to be colder out if im going to be crankin at 650 lol
that R30 attic insulation seems to be helping out too!

in the low 20's tonight we'll see how we do.

Staying warm without kicking your stove hard is a good thing.

yeah i guess your right
cant wait till its -20or -30 below and see how it does

Enjoy. I ain't ever gonna try doing -30 with just the F-100. Ya gotta a recliner near it to sleep in for reloads?

lol no but im never far away
