Hi guys,

I'll figure this stove out eventually, but in the mean time, I have another question ;)

I'm day 3 into using my BK princess, and this morning I reloaded my stove and set the t-stat at 1. I came home for lunch and noticed 1/2 of the door is covered in creosote. I'm burning pine and it's been kept outside for 2 years drying. I'm going to complete a hot burn tonight to rid the stuff on the glass door, but am wondering if this is normal when burning at setting 1?
Also, should I be concerned with any creosote build up in the flue/chimney if I've noticed this much on the door?

Thanks guys!

Steve, its all normal. The cat is eating up the smoke and nasties if it is in the active zone. Thats its fuel. Anything down stream of the cat should be fine. Start using the search function on this site. Lots of questions on this. When ya hit the -40s she will clear up.

Ya, you cold fellas in the far north will see some big differences when it cools off a bit.....
