Hello,
I have a 60Kw SDMO generator at work that is putting out too high a voltage. It is powered by a John Deere 4045 diesel. It is idling at 1850 RPM (too high), and putting out 270 VAC. My trouble is that I can't seem to find a way to bring down the idle. It appears to be all electronic. Does anyone have any knowledge of these generators or related? Thanks.

Any idle stop on the injection pump?

Gary

It seems like it is a fixed idle at 1800 RPM. It has idle screws, but they are locked with wire. The pump is a Stanadyne DB4. It is an 1800 RPM genset, but I'm getting 1850 RPM loaded or not.

Why do you think an antique engine forum would have info on a new/couple year old gen set?

Your engine may be newer and this may not apply at all, but look at page 40.
