Here are a few pics from a cpl weekends ago in the woods early in the morning. Nothing spectacular, but I kinda like em.

Great shots...did you have a cup of steaming coffee in your hands?

I for one like these pics too . . . on those types of mornings I would not be surprised to have a deer suddenly step into view out of the fog.

I'm not certain of the history of the woods since I've only been a member of the family for 10 yrs (in-laws farms) but I know a couple of their farms were logged a few decades ago maybe this one too. About 20 foot to my back and right is the fence line, with some real monsters. A huge cherry thats got to be close to 3' at the base that probably goes dead straight for 20' or more. Every time I am there I daydream of milling that sucker.

That was the idea ;-)

Looks like a fellow ought to be hunting there!

As I was looking at the pics I thought to myself "That looks like Ross County." Then I saw where your from, how close was I? Looks like several places in the state forest that I hunt.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Jack - sure thing.

F V - NE Ohio actually, Carroll Co. I live ~45 min north of columbus but the in-laws farms are in Stark and Carroll co.

Adabiviak - in the direction the camera is facing, probably ~200 yards or a little more.

Missed by that much.....OK, I missed by a whole bunch.

Brilliant pictures, always best with some mist about :)

Very cool Ohio. Thanks for sharing the pics. Reminds me of when I use to hunt when I had the time. The best part of it was the piece and quiet and the many different types of scenery like that. Thanks again. How the fires burnin for ya? Always like to see a picture of a fire! Next best thing to the real thing!

My first instinct was to see if there was a deer in the pic somewhere.
