I have burned about 8 bags of pellets so far this season and im trying to figure out how to get the most efficiency. My wittus has an auto eco mode which acts like a programmable thermostat, manual mode, and auto mode (which gets the room up to the desired temp then stays on low fan feature). Does anybody have any suggestions especially you ecoteck owners? Thanks in advance

I have an ecoteck just installed in october 2011. I have been running it in automode. I have programmed it to come on around 7 pm shut off at midnight come on at 430 am then wife shuts of in am after sun comes up. I have ran it all modes.I have been trying to avoid running on eco setting to increase life of ignitor although in this milder weather we have been overheating space abit. I am anxious to see how it runs in cold weather. How often do you clean yours as our stoves lines seem similar. I am happy with mine very quiet much cleaner than my previous stove. I do clean firebox every other day.(5 min job)

I'm cleaning the firebox everyday as well. I haven't had to clean the ash box yet after about 15 bags. I do run mine on eco mode right now because our weather is all over the place in new england. Eco mode seems like the most efficient to me so far but on real cold nights the auto mode where it gets up to the temp then stays on low fan the rest of the time works great (used that mode twice). What type of pellets are you using? How was yours installed oak or no oak?
