Reason I ask... Bought a ton of pellets at Menards in Sandusky, OH today. My third ton from there, drove back to have them loaded and noticed that the brand had changed from my first two tons. First two were Somersets,So I expected Somersets. Noticed the black bags (Somersets) on the highest storage shelf and asked the kid on the forklift to get those for me. Came home and looked up Magic Spark and saw they are manufactered by the same company as Pro - Pellet. Are the same as Pro-Pellets??? Thanks for any info!!

Very nice!!! Those look like bags of Pro Pellets.. Green bags with a log on them. Says "Fiber by Products" on it.

Congrats.. 3 ton is the minimum ranking for "Pig Status" Have you thought about applying for your Oinks?

Use the pro's for moderate temps and the Somersets for the dead of winter. Pro's are average and Somersets have been excellent.

I wish I would have known this when I bought the Pro-Pellets, They were 285.00/ton out the door, Brought home the Somerset's yesterday for $180.00/ton out the door.

Amazing the price difference for pellets, guess it depends on who you get them from.. I paid 175/ton for my pro pellets at my local tsc. & the somersets by me are 225/ton. But yes Pro's & magic spark are made by the same company. Dealer told me same pellet different bag.

Pro Pellets burn super hot in my quad, almost as hot as somersets. The main difference is pro pellets are more ashy and some of the pellets are alittle long, but not bad.

Thanks guys, Sounds like I will be happy with my Somerset's!!

Dex... I've been called a pig before, never had to apply though!! By the way, There's a Town and Country in Grafton that I want to go check their pellet supply!

Since you have been proclaimed a pig by others who know you better than we do and you have the required minimum pellet supply and are indicating proper piggishness by checking pellet supplies at various places and since the normal Pig status granters are napping on the job.

I bought 2 ton of Green Label Lignetics in late March/early April. They were normally $250 a ton (maybe $225). Either way, I got them for $190 a ton. The Manager didnt know if they were gonna buy more this year (I bought the last 2 ton). He was a little unsure. So would be a good thing to call before you stop by. If they have any, and there a different brand than Green Labels, drop me a PM..

Welcome to the club... Its official. Your now a Pig... Pellet burning is a sickness... A sickness that you now possess. ;-P

I will stop in one evening this week, It's not far from me. I will let you know what they have. If you keep buying, you'll have to put an addition on your house just for pellet storage!! LOL
