ProPellets

I tried about 5 bags. Not bad -- not a lot of fines from what I recall, but the heat output wasn't as good as others... but not bad.

Started my season with 4 tons. Its what all the local dealers recomended around here. My first season burning pellets so dont have much to compare
to but in my short time burning i have burnt worse. I can say that there is a very small amount of fines so far i really like them but plan on finding
something hotter for the colder part of winter.

At best, they are another average pellet. Compared to Somerset's or Country Boy, the heat output is significantly lower.

+1 for Somersets. Dealers in W MI are, for the most part, clueless...

ProPellets actually do very good in my stove ...like em second to somersets..

No good.

Some pellets were extremely long (2") and made my auger clunk. They were the dirtiest pellets I have burned so far. They left so much crud in the burn pot that it affected the quality of the flame, and required that the burn pot be cleaned a long before the ash bins needed to be emptied.

May have just been a bad batch, but I bought a ton and ended up exchanging the last 10 bags for something different.

They have always been good for my stove... i guess i just got some good ones...

I test burned 3 bags and they were just fine.

I posted a link for smart energy they sell jeds

I have been selling ProPellets for 5 years with a few of those years selling well over 2,500 tons. I think they are the best pellet out there. They are one of the only mills that does 100% indoor storage and recommends indoor storage to it's dealers. They take pride in their product and they are not a "fly by night" mill.

I have burned both Uncle Jed's and Somersets and am now burning Pro pellets. The Jed's and Somersets are very close in heat and ash but from my testing the Pro's come up a few degrees (<7) less in heat. The Pro Pellets have a little more ash but for the price difference I am happy with them.
I scored the Pro's for $169 a ton this summer, so I bought 4 tons from a local farm elevator. They delivered them for $20 and set them in my carport next to my 2.5 tons of Jed's and my 1 ton of Somersets which cost me $230 a ton for the Jed's + $15 a ton delivery and $209 + $15 a ton delivery for the Somersets the previous year.
Pro Pellets Get a thumbs up for my stove.
