From the pic I'll guess some kind of pine or softwood.

Gee, I dunno ;-)

That's a lot of heartwood and it looks red... Some kind of oak? But then again, thats a lot of bark too and it looks aggressive. Black oak? Is this a test lol?!

Walnut, and the kit is getting a quick coat of wax as we speak! MMAUL I need some legs planed? :cheese:

Color on this one is more chocolate. No purples to it.

Smokin, how much does a slab like that go for on average?

Now you know I was gonna' say that is the best pic!!

Its for her son for x-mass and was the plan from the start. She wanted to mill it tag it. Her son today done all the mini milling and waxing. This will give them a lot of pride on the project I think. Already to me looking like a 500.00 bill...lol

Very nice, can't wait to see the final product.

really cool project it looks great

And it comes as a kit! ;-)

Bring the legs over and we can plane them. They look nice.

I would love to come across something like that to install as a top to my bar that I'm just starting on.

This is where the demand for it is....Shipping is the real issue. That one is under 150lbs though but still cost about 200.00.
