Hey BB, fast computers are really nice toys too. Add a big Yamaha amp, a half dozen Mirage speakers, a sub woofer the size of a dorm refrigerator, a 58 inch plasma screen, and a set of controllers, and when you blow stuff up, you duck involuntarily. The grin is nearly permanent too.

Can't spend all of our time with chainsaws you know.

Milt? I never would have guessed.

And they quit giving kids cap pistols because they were too violent.

Sheesh!

You are right about that BB. Realistic video games teach teamwork, small unit tactics, operations orders, movement techniques, problem solving and lining up the sights on people and pulling the trigger. The messy parts of warfare evaporate, and there are no flies, and no stinks and nobody actually dies even when killed on a regular basis.

Good place to learn that stuff without a credit card.

I'm only on steam because when you buy empire total war you have to activate your game through it and also get updates from it. It is a major pain.

That setup sounds like fun indeed! I swore off fast computers after I figured out what kind of chainsaw all that $$ would get me. :cheese: Besides, I get a helluva lot less grief playing with saws and splitters than my computer. Come to think of it, I get grief everytime I look at something fast, cars, bikes, computers, women ... :eek:hh:

That part is debatable. You need to attend a few LAN parties with some serious geeks.

Sold a guy four 48 port patch panels a few years ago. Residential shipping address and for some reason I asked him the application. He replied that he hosted gaming parties.

The mind boggled.
