Greetings all,

Went by my local dealer to see if they had gotten in any Vermont's yet. Nope, January.

But they did order up some Comfy pellets out of Brittish Columbia. Douglas fir.

I bought 5 bags for a trial. Anyone have any experience with them?

Did a quick search here with no results for "comfy" in the subject lines.

Still have a hopper full of Okies before I get to the Comfy's, so not sure how they look, smell, or burn.

Thanks.

They are "Comfy Cozy" pellets. These are made by Marwood ltd http://www.marwoodltd.com/comfy_2.php out of New Brunswick Canada. Waiting for an email back from them regarding what species they use to make their pellets.
They got back to me really quick. Their pellets are 100% softwood lumber sawdust. Softwoods used are Spruce, Pine or Fir.

a buddy i work with got 4 ton he says he likes them might trade a bag to try!! he paid 200 a ton btw

I burned mostly Comfy Cozy last season. They're OK. I prefer the Crabbe pellets though (I'm only buying pellets from New Brunswick)

Thanks for the info gentlemen. First bag in the hopper now, we'll see how they burn, but so far I like the quality of the bag, the look of the pellets, and no dust or fines in the first bag.

I personally think Comfy Cozy's are the worst pellet I have come across for my Harman. Burned a bunch of different brands over the years, been burning Crabbe since they started production, top notch pellet right out of the gate. I know their quality control is top notch and so is their plant. Previous to Crabbe, I found the LG granules and Shaw to be the best, and Ambiance were good too.

I tried a bag and i agree the worst pellet I've ever tried! Low low ash was the only thing i liked!

I've burned about a half ton of them over the past 18 months in my St. Croix Afton Bay at my house on Prince Edward Island. They're not as good as the Shaws' that is sold up there, but they're better than Walmart or most other Big-Box Pellets...... IMHP.

I believe the Crabbe mill here in NB are shipping their pellets to PEI now, I would recommend giving them a try if you get a chance.
