In this instance I'm pulling for the Enviro. ;-)

Huh??? Thought you were an AE supporter! You been drinking from pooks cup again???

hes trying to make it harder for me J... might think he knew it was my birthday or something :p

from my experience ive looked into both and the enviro doesnt have the output ae does and also you need proffesional install for permit the enviro uses 4" pipe so youd have to cut a new hole and get new pipes if your old mt vernon has a 3"

thats the main deterrent right now as the 3 inch was a new install and rather not do it again, and i need as much output as i can get since i cant do a bedroom install
looks like smoke is gonna win :) be ready for the mass PM's lol

Jay, OMV has known all along which stove is better.

He's just messing with you.

Looks like the reverse psychology worked. :cheese:

im gone !

Done... Stove in the house and currently installing. man its heavy

Remove the top, it lifts right off. also remove the door, and remove the baffle inside the fire area. it will lighten it up alot.

We def need pics for this one, its been weeks in the making.

Altough it seems like years.

welcome to my nightmare the dealer told me the exhaust hole was identical to the old style... New AE is at least 3 1/2 inches to high :(

guess the lesson of the day here is dont go straight out always go up then out. Which i read that on this forum and ignored since i didnt want to see the pipe inside the house.

My first install ever was perfect too!

I'm pretty shocked he said bring the stove back i wasnt expecting him to offer that solution at all. Which to me says he is a good dealer and a upstanding guy.

I told him i appreciate that but i really want the stove.

He said he will call in the morning after he talks to his installer maybe he can send him up here to figure out an easy solution.

The easiest solution is going up with the wall thimble BUT there is no room for error since you are taking away the "opps" factor in a thimble.

So... ya a happy day driving home with my new AE but right now i feel sick to my stomach lol... ( ya i know its only a hole but i only wanted 1 ! )

Congrats on the stove!! Where are the pics???

I really mean it. Congratulations ... Thats a beast of a stove. Now you gotta change your Forum member name oldmountvernon to newmountvernon! LOL

Im sure Smoke Shoe will tell you anything and everything there is to know with that stove.

Now post some pics! It hasnt happened yet...
