can anyone tell me what stove this is and if it is a good price. looks like dutchwest or vermont or are those the same. anyways sounds like good price.

Kind of looks like one of cast iron stoves Lennox used to make. Can't confirm it, though. Someone else will know, though. I do know that it isn't a VC or a Dutchwest.

Looks nice. Seems to be in good condition. Has a nice price attached to it. I wonder how big the firebox is?

It could also be a Harman. Kind of looks like an older version of the Oakwood.

thanks BrowningBar. gets me kinda started. i am going to call on this afternoon. it is two hours'ish away. will look for cracks and look at gaskets and the replaceables. will do more research on those stoves for more info when i go look.
i have been running the Timberwolf 2200 in the basement and it is doing very well to keep up on heat. come deep cold winter time, i was thinking about a tiny stove upstairs for just a little help. this looks like a good one. some blasting some paint and about 12 ft of chimney i would be set. oh and a hearth. wife prolly going to say no.
gut feeling.
