Mixing Okies and Infernos together about 40/60 right now. hooooooooooweeeeeeeeeee #5 cranks so hard on the stove you can't touch the stove in front of the pellet door. Makes me a bit concerned all that heat is right on the other side of the bin. yikes.

Anyone else mixing?

Just think how hot it would be if u weren't cooling it down with the infernos.

LOL you guys are brutal :)

Man I just got home and found the stove running and no flame. Musta just caught it. HUGE sawdust clods in the side of the hopper. HUGE as in get the vacuum out and suck it all up. It stopped an entire side of the cute from emptying. These okies sure are dusty.

As much as everyone likes them here and I like the heat I wouldn't buy them again with this much sawdust. Much more than any pellets I've ever burned. I just bought another ton this week and theyre supposed to be in on the 5th. Supposedly the first batch out of the new bagging plant in the next town over. Lets see how they are in here. Literally moved twice to get to my house...

You must have got a wet bag or something. Besides a little dust, they are a top notch pellet in my book.

I have about 3/4 ton of Okies left from last season and I am going to mix them with the MWP that I am burning now just to extend the shoulder season a little and avoid tapping into my stash of VTs!

No I been doing the mixing and I see what comes out of the bag for fines. There's alot. I've seen others complain of the same thing. I like them don't get me wrong but if I had a different choice I'd go for another brand with less fines. There was probably a quart or so of fines in my hopper that had evidently been building up. I keep it full so it must have been only drawing from one side.

Fines issue is because they are delivered by railcar all the way from BC. All that shaking and rattling effects teh pellets so we see more dust and fines in the bags!

Because poeple complained, Okies will be bulk shipped and bagged in a facility in Mass from now on. Before they are bagged they will go thru a screen/vacuum and have the fines removed. So the short truck shipments from mass to our area will have minimal problems with fines issues. I think Mr Warm said sometime in January the first loads will be ready to ship to our local dealers.

What town do they bag okies?

dose anyone know?
