Just wondering if anyone who bought what looked like a deal over the summer now has any regrets and wishes they they opted for the better stuff. Back in 2007, I bought four tons of NEWP's ay what I thought was a bargain and then come November I was kicking not only myself, but my wife, two dogs and step son! Any stories anyone wanna share?

Not over the summer but I just bought 3 tons of Cubex based on what I read on-line about them.

The same dealer had GranuleLG for .50 less per bag, wish I'd gone that route instead.

The Cubex is fine really, no problems with them at all but I liked the burn from the one bag of LG I tried better. I don't think the Cubex was worth the extra dough.

no............... i try not to wast my time or money on whimpy pellets ..i made the same mistake in 2008 with the NEWP

No regrets here.I took a chance and bought 3 tons of pellets I had never tried. When I opened the first bag and poured them in the hopper I noticed there was 0 dust. Then I noticed they put out alot of heat, very little ash.I've burned 12-15 bags and haven't had to clean glass one time.Henry County Pellets,Paris Tennessee.

None here got gt- for 187 Somerset 187 and hamers 2something .. okies at 224 and some mwp around 22something back in Feb march I think... Anyways looking to pick up another ton or so .. but sitting on almost 6 which should be good for 2 yrs ... The fair weather lately has helped a lot ...
No regrets

Old Dominions- could have gotten them for 169/ton special deal during summer. Didn't trust them because they where made at same place that made Nations Choice so I passed. Now that I have tested them , they are 230/ton.

I do my home work so I know what I'm getting into! There aint a pellet out there my stove can't handle anyway! So my only regret is I should have bought more when the prices were lower.I got enough to get through this season and some of next, But vehicle issues kept me from putting one last ton on ice. I got a feeling I'll pay way more next season!

Well at least I got a new gas sipper that's also really fun to drive!

I'm probably going to need 1 more ton to get through the winter. Currently have about 1/2 ton of NEWP before the Okies start to go in the hopper. I'm most likely going to get more Okies just so there are no regrets. Going to try the "premium" soft wood pellets from TSC first though. I believe there have been good reports on those.

So far not too happy with AWF. Very ashy pellet. I have been burning them on a low setting so that might be part of it. Yesterday used a bag of green team and wow. Like night and day. Hot and very little ash.

One more bag of super-lousy Carolina Wood Pellets and then I can use my 3 tons of Greenway pellets. It's a constant battle with 3" long pellets bridging the drop chute or the feed gate plus tons of fines.

Lets derail this thread too.

Plaese explain. PM if needed.

souther indiana hardwoods gunked up my sisters stove with sooty tar.

A little regret for paying about $80.00 (Big Sucker) a ton more for Pro-pellet over Somerset's. The Pro seem way dusty and also don't seem to burn quite as well as the Somerset's!

My only Regret is the one ton of Instant heat from TSC. The other 2 tons of SC are amazingly hot, the instant heat are'nt that warm, very dirty and the pellets are really long.

This is my forth season burning pellets, and I have come to the conclusion that no mater what brand I buy, they all suck in some way or form. Sorry to be negative

But I do love my stove and the warmth!

That's it

We are really good at derailing things! ;-)

My little pellet hauler/back and forth to work vehicle(2002 merc sable) blew a head gasket. Seeing it had high mileage and the repair was over $1500, We decended on new/used. So we took the last bit of savings and plunked it down on a 2010 Fusion. Got just enough left to spend on xmas gifts. Always something as they say!

You're the best...I wasn't even expecting a Chrstmas gift!!!

Definitely. I bought 4 tons of Turman's, thinking that I would "save" $20 a ton from what I spent on Barefoot's last year. Not terribly happy with the results. Turman's just don't seem to produce the same results in warming up my house in the same amount of time, and it isn't really even cold outside yet.

Going to return the 3 un-opened tons of Turman's to get 3 tons of Barefoot.

And we had such a hot thread goin here.........
My avatar aside, I'm a beautiful person on the inside.
