The worst part is, some woman is there videoing that! Distraction has got to be about numero uno problemo in such situations.

Like to see that thing with a 20" rounf of hard maple :smirk:

i was thinking a nice big round of green elm might slow it down too.

I mean the thing works but it would not be worth the risk to me.
 
Probably won't see one like that on sale any time soon.
OSHA may have them add a few safeties & guards.
 
Hopefully the weld on the splitting head doesn't eventually weaken or fail suddenly. The head could fly off the wheel and come right at the operator.
 
That similar to another one that uses a bigger wheel running slower rpms but probably same surface speed.
 
I can truthfully say that those scare the bejesus out of me. I wouldn'g go within a hundred feet of those death wheels.
