I just read Butcher's strange phenom post where he mentions that he named his stove Black Sabbath. I've heard of people naming their cars but this is the first that I've heard a name for a stove. Does anyone else have a nickname for their stove? Any nicknames for chainsaws?

We have the Lopi Liberty, nicknamed THE HEATER after Nolan Ryan's fastball, plus it throws plenty of heat.

SolarAndWoods splitter, nicknamed the BEAST, splits anything.

I sometimes refer to my stove as The Oz.

The old stove was Old Brownie and the new one is New Brownie. Next year it will be just Brownie. Of course when it won't cooperate it is That #$^%# stove.

I have a lopi liberty also and it is often referred to as"The Gates Of H***" because of the intense light show inside the firebox and the tremendous amount of heat it puts out

Nc 30 is "Ole' Black Betty"
regencey R-3 is "Lil' Brother"

The PE is Da Beast, and right fully so :)

The 13 is yet to be determined.

I have never named a stove, but the new F600 may be named the "Sweat Machine"- MAN, that basement get HOT HOT HOT!

^This would be the only names I've giving the stove. Usually it's early in the morning on the weekend and I'm hungover. I want to get back to bed and the damn things won't come up to temp because they KNOW. TheY KNOW I WANT TO SLEEP!

Any other time they light off like rockets.

NC-30 is named "Nuke" (short for nuclear). Quad is "Ol' Girl" , Englander is "Iggy" and the Fahrenheit furnace I am installing now (???????) Does not have a name yet. To be determined after its heating the house.

Ouch!!!!! ;-P

Its the only addiction I have. I thought you might be the only one to understand? I only have 3 in my home. Englander pellet stove does not get daily use, sometimes not even weekly use.

3 and 3...... Were even..... ;-P

Just jokin with ya!

We call our equinox "Stovezilla." It's 2 degrees and dropping. This is actually up from the minus -15 of a few days ago, accompanied by howling wind. Zilla is a heat monster and we love her.

So, how would the furnace be used? How many square feet are you working with?

Going to be tied into existing HVAC. Have a 2,200 sq ft Ranch. With a 2,200 sq ft basement. Fahrenheit and Englander are in a 800-900 sq ft portion of it..

Have a thread going in the Pellet Mill

https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/84021/#1012851

Wont run them all at the same time. By using the Fahrenheit in combination with the 30-NC, I will suck that hpt air out pf the basement and blow it through the registers. Making the furnace a little more efficient.

I spend so much time in front of my Hampton HI300 insert, looking at it burn that my wife says it's like my girlfriend . . . So now we call her "The Old Flame".

Never really thought about naming the new T5 but
The Master Blaster seems fitting.
