You hit it on the head BrotherBart, but I would like to add, if my hopper were big enough, I would
wallow in it.

I'm with PJPELLET.

I don't level them unless it is to get the hopper door closed with a fresh load.

If I do open the lid to check, I pull them from the corners and up into a mound in the middle roughly over the auger feed area. :)

I figure it buys me a few minutes before they run out and empty the auger tube.

Guilty!!!! Very gratifying touching and smelling pellets.

I don't level my pellets, I actually build a mound where I know they will start to empty into the auger. I heap them there and this way I never have to see that dreaded emptiness.

This is the way to go. You levelers are fighting a losing battle.

Someone in another thread said if they could, they'd put all their pellets in a pile, strip naked, and jump around in them.

I berated this person publicly for being completely ridiculous, but I think it was just my own little way of covering up my true feelings... The truth is, I want a hopper big enough to swim in.

There, I said it.

OK, BRB, gotta go level out the hopper... back in an hour or so.

Why isn't this software littered with convenient "Like" buttons? There are so many posts in this thread that need to be immortalized by quantitative liking ...

The sides of the hopper need to be at a steeper angle or non-stick someway. Anybody have a solution??? I-mac? J??

I've read of others using Pam cooking spray, graphite spray, or even waxing the inside of the hopper.

I haven't gone to such lengths yet. I fondle them too much for them to stick.

I just did mine couple days ago.....
tape on the seams and pledge furniture polish the rest of the hopper...
what a difference, they slide down a lot better now...

I did that last night too. It all goes so much smoother with lube.

Wait, what? :shut:

Everyone else has OCD like me, Cool! ;-)

I am definitely guilty of leveling, and tucking in the corners when loading. I love the feeling of burying my fingers into a mound of pellets.... :ahhh:

Yeah, I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in the right order!
