I have one burn from from only using one glove to reach into the stove but had to hold a log up to get another to fit. I have two on my other arm from sticking my arm to far into the stove just past the glove. Someday I will learn not to stick my arms so far in but not to bad for my first year. Nothing to bad yet just a few lines.

Guy I worked with twenty years ago bought a house that had a barrel stove in the basement. One night he was wrestling with a big log in that deep firebox and got his arms jammed in the door frame because his hands were on either side of the log in the stove. His wife heard the screaming and came and yanked him out. He was a mess. Burned real bad.

Had on gloves but they burned up. And that hot door frame did major damage to his arms.
