Well. Somebody has to buy them? They have been making them long enough.

So many burners that have "No Clue". If they only knew that they could get actual heat from a pellet stove. . Besides having a Dirty stove. I wonder how many pellet stoves are sold each year because the owner thought it wouldnt heat there home (or the room tue stove was in)???

I'll admit it I bought them......but happy so far!

I bought 4 ton last fall at $169.00 a ton and FREE DELIVERY! so far they are NOT forming any type of clinker like the Hammers I had bought for the previous winter. I have only had to increase the fuel rate up by a few pounds per hour to get the same heat as the Hammers with no clinkers choking out the pot within the 1st few hours of running like the Hammers did. Still seem to go through about 2 bags in a work day on setting 5 like I was with the Hammers.

Yes the pot seems dirtier but I can deal with that over clinkers choking out the pot constantly. I will have to see what the long run will bring but so far happy with the price and performance. They do not smell as nice as Hammers but this is in my print shop and not my house so I can deal with that.

I will also admit that Lowe's was supposed to save me 2 ton of Green Team......had them moved to the back of the store with my name on them and all ready paid for, just needed to pick them up a few days later. I go to get them and they magically disappeared from the back holding area! Boy did I lay into the Manager on that one, no one knew anything and I said let's go look at the surveillance video then!!! All they had was the Infernos and I tried a few bags and was happy so to make up for the screw up he lowered the price and gave me free delivery.....so I asked if he'd let me but 2 more ton at the same time and still deliver free and he did.

Time will tell.

I have heard some say they were fine with them. But batch consistency usually gets the best of them. The biggest problem with them is they don't have a consistent fiber supply so some of the stuff them except is less than good to say the least.

But things can always change, Seen a few make a good turnaround. But I'll sit on the side lines and not take any chances on these. Just don't trust them!

I don't blame you j

I will say that the bags I tried before I pulled the trigger really smelled like I was burning wood pallets! I don't know if sitting in my overseas storage container this past summer let them dry out more but they don't seem to smell as bad as they did on the test burn last year.

Be afraid.....be VERY afraid!!! :ahhh:

OMG! You beat me too it, that's exactly what I was gonna say!!

Never burned these and saw them at Lowes. Decided to pick up 12 bags as I had a $10 off $50 coupon. Total for the 12 bags was $46.95 with tax ($3.91/bag). Great price but let me say, I would never get these pellets again if they were free. They smell terrible, feel terrible (they feel like they are damp but probably not), and burn dirty (glass gets dirty) and at a significantly lower temp than other pellets I have purchased. I would return the 11 other bags I have if it was not such a hassle. I'll burn them as quickly as possible just to get rid of them. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with INFERNO PELLETS. Stay away - very far away and maybe Lowes will get the hint not to order these in the future.

I'm not sure what to really say about these pellets. They burn okay but they definitely not as hot as some other brands I've used. I bought two tons from our local hardware store last month without trying a few bags first (yes that was dumb but they do deliver for free) and I don't think I will buy this brand again. The pellet length is inconsistent (some almost 2" long) but they haven't jammed up the auger like I've read on some other threads because the pellets seem don't seem to be compacted to tightly. They also don't smell too good either like others have mentioned... almost like wood pallets. Curious what others think...

Was just at Lowes today...picked-up 4 bags of Greene Teams to test out. Lowes still had the $219/ton price.

If these GT's burn well, I may grab a ton for next winters stash.
