Ever heard/seen these chainsaws?

I doubt that it has, as the spec sheet states, a 4 litre engine.

It's a Binford 4.0...Hemi. That would be the base engine. Choose the Binford 4.0SCN and step up a Super Charged Nitros injected model and get true professional power. Yes, with the 4.0SCN and the 48' bar and carbide cutter option and you can drop small buildings with ease. It looks as though there is some bidding action on these saws. If anyone here buys one how about letting the list know how it works. Anyone know about part sourse for these or are they throw aways?

I don't doubt that the Chinese are capable of building a decent chain saw, but this doesn't look like it. What are you gonna do when it breaks?

The saws are sold at cost and they make-it up on shipping. If you go to their other listings and see the cheap prices and then look at the shipping cost it all makes scense.

Complete and utter garbage. Don't waste your money.

You can buy all kind of Chinese made tools on Ebay. Sure, you can buy a hammer drill for $5, which sounds like a steal, but you just threw away $5 (plus shipping) because the thing won't hammer through a sheet of Wonderboard without burning up.

7000 rpm? 25:1 oil mix??? WTF?

1.45kW? That's not even 2HP. This saw has no business pulling an 18" bar.

In looking at chainsaw reviews, this thread caught my eye.

Looks like it might have an "automatic" oil for the chain, but remember, in the not to distant past, we had to stop and oil the chain. My biggest concern would be what other features we consider standard now this little saw might not have. Chain brake? Does it meet any safety standards? Can you get a replacement chain, bar, air filter? The cheap 12v winches flooding ebay are similar. Absolutely zero distribution for parts. This is likely to be a "dollar a minute" chainsaw.

I'm tired of buying similar disposable Craftsman/Poulon saws. Time to upgrade, not downgrade.

Time for my long winded reply. got some china made tools in the workshop. Some do their job quite well. others don't last. of course I have had similar experience with american made tools also. My first and only chainsaw is a poulan 14 inch. Keep expecting it to give up the ghost but it lives on. have replaced the chain once and replaced the chain and bar once. Just learned this year about grinding the spacers as well as the teeth. I figure it probly has another year in it then it's done. Might splurg this year and get husky or stihl. medium sized 40-50 cc is the plan. There are others that would satisfy me quite well.....johnesered, shindawai, but stihl and husky have service available everywhere. Little tidbit of advice my "redneck advisor" gave me a couple years ago. "Two kinds of saws. stihl and what every other dumb sumbi@#$ buys. For ladders it's werner or nothing. Made in china? Ya don't you know some of the best stuff is made there!

Just bought the 52cc version. Horrible & dangerous.
Ill-fitting parts; Oil and petrol leaks; Low on power; Heavy; Poorly balanced; Sparkplug tightened by a gorilla; etc...
I'm sending it back tomorrow.
Steer well clear.

Just be careful not to chew on the damn thing, the paint is probably full of lead ;-)
