when have settings at 3-4-1 or 4-4-1 as per tech support fire will go out for about 15-20 sec and relight at that time when fire is out will
get a light smoke smell
have to go to 5-5-1 to keep fire from going out and no smell top is set at 1-4
have new gaskets on the blowers stove was mfg 10-2010 have used 8 bags of pellets
vent out side wall 2 ft then a 45 up 3ft & a 45 then cap all 4in sillcone & aluminum tape
when at the 4-4-1 or 3-4-1 setting get a light gray dust in room not at the 5-5-1 setting
will i just have to run on the 5-4-1 setting like to used the lower setting so not get so hot in the room where stove is

The bottom settings shouldnt be touched unless there is a problem. Have you tried increasing the heat level above 1. On level 1 not that many pellets are fed. Turn the heat level up to 2,3,4 and you will see a much larger fire and no stopping of flame. Also, if the room is getting to warm, increase the room air blower setting. Setting it on 9 will be louder, but it will set-up more convection and drop tje actual temps coming out of stove.

bottom 3-4 -1 & 4-4-1 were set per englander hot line at a increased level it is ok
but is it right to have it smoke at the low settings ??

If I'm reading your not-so-easy-to-read-because-there-isn't-any-punctuation post correctly, you shouldn't smell smoke at any time.....you have an interior exhaust leak, which is confirmed by your saying there is dust in the room.

The pipes need to be sealed much better, otherwise you run the risk of CO poisoning. Leave the stove settings at 5-4-1, and set the room blower & heat settings the same.....1-1, 2-2, 3-3, etc. IMO.

....Are you drawing outside air ? If not, that may be part of the problem.

Good question.

Do you have the OAK connected to the stove, as per Englander requirements?

I believe there was a post on this subject about a month ago. Mike from englander said it would be normal to have a whiff of smoke smell when starting because there was no seal on the shaft to the fan. Was the stove starts burning there should be no problem.

This isn't just on starting.

check piipe conections , remember a pellet stove runs on principle of "negative draft" this means air is sucked through the stove (negative pressure) and blown out the pipe (positive pressure) therefore generally any leak which is expelling anyting is usually found at the positive pressure side of the exhaust blower. if your cleanout tee is indoors check the cap they do leak, mine at home did , i sealed the underside (not where it lock in but the underside0 with silicone and it has been fine since.

clean out is outside and all conections are sillcone & tape
when set as low as can be 3-4-1 and top 1-3 and the fire goes out for about 10 sec can see a little smoke in stove as the fire relights & gettes the smell.
if set at 5-4-1 the fire well not go out and i see no smoke and no smell is this normal ?

pretty much so, see when the stove has to constantly relight off te coals it produces smoke, this usually causes a faint smoke smell each time it does so, runnig the LFF that low is causing it. you do not want this type of burn as its very dirty and not very efficient. the LFF should be set so that the fire does not starve to coals and relight

ok will run at 5-4-1 was not that cold and would get room to hot

Once the temps outside drop more, you'll probably want to put the stove back to the factory 6-4-1 setting for more heat.
