I'm trying to figure out how far and wide Greene Team is shipped, and wondering if they are only available at Lowes.

The plant is in SW Pa, and I saw an output production of 20,000 tons a year as of 2009. I've seen reports here of emails that say "24 ton shipping to store XYZ this week," and was trying to guesstimate if they only ship to Lowes, how much they ship to each store a year and how many stores they could serve. I saw reports of people buying them from Lowes in Maine, which would mean they may do the entire Northeast. Anyone here get them in Maine? NH, VT?

Any wild guesses of how many tons a store may sell in a year, and anyone know if Lowes is the exclusive distributor of them? I thought of calling and asking them, but they may not want to tell me... This is a little research project. Thanks in advance.

Greene Team in the white bag is only available at Lowes AFAIK. But the Greene Team Gold is available at pellet dealers and stove shops. Pretty sure any Lowes on the east coast and midland will carry them at some point thorough the year.

Not sure if they ship them to Lowes out west?

j-takeman...do you know if they have them at the Lowes in Torrington ??

after thinking a minute....i guess i could just pick up the phone

Thanks - good info to start off. Now I can go looking for the Gold.

Last I checked a couple of weeks ago, all they had was Inferno and North American. Last ton of GT's were on the floor and there was only 20 bags left. I was checking for the newer platinums.

Someone had info on getting email alerts when the GT's were being shipped. They listed bigbox and other pellet venders.

All you have to do is go to www.greeneteampellets.com and hit the "contact us" link and sign up. They will email you when they are shipping to your area....

Yes thats a pretty good system they have at Green Team. Robbie does reply and answers questions as well. Wish more pellet companies would use their system. Sure beats calling stores to find out whats in stock.

With 9 tons squirrled away and at least another ton on the way I wouldn't call you a Pellet Pig, I'd call you a Pellet Hog!!!

Yes, Robbie answered all of my emails last year when we all had questions and were stocking up. He watches this forum as well so we should only be saying nice things.....yeah right.

Robbie is ok in my book . But he should tell lowes his pellets are the same just different bags and stop ripping us off another dollar because their " platinum " :)

Just being sarcastic dont attack please lol

Agreed. Didn't it pi$$ me off when multiple Lowes employees tried telling me that they werer better than the regular bags after Robbie told me they were the same. At $275/ton (247 w/ coupon) I had to pass. I'll buy from someone who will deliver MWP for $219 ton and support a local business.

Thanks for the link 007

Ditto, Just received an email from Robbie this morning. They supposedly have Green Teams in Tallmadge, Ohio about an hour from my house. Are these good pellets??

I just sent an e-mail off to see if I could get them in my area. We have a Lowes about 10 miles away.

i sent an email last evening and the reply i got back to said as of right now there

Hopefully the stores get their head out of their a$$ and charge less than $5.49/bag....

Right! $50 more per ton than the other brand at Lowes... no thank you.

Went to Lowes(East Bruns.,NJ) this morning and they had 2 tons of GreeneTeam left outside but looks like they just got a fresh delivery of Green Supreme which many of you already know is NEWP. I was tempted to get a couple bags to try but already have 1 ton too much for this season and price has increased from 3.48 to 4.33 per bag. I may still just grab two bags to see how they compare to the GT's which I'm fairly happy with for my needs. Last season price went to 6.50 per bag when it got really cold out.

i,m still really new to the pellet stove world and have been buying a few bags of this
and that trying them out...i picked up 5 bags of Green Supreme at the Tractor Supply store
near me and can tell you that they arent burning anywhere near as hot or as cleanly as
the Stove Chow i got at the HD near me...but last i knew they were out of them

Went into lowes to check out the prices and as I was approaching the pellets I was getting excited because I saw a big bright green sign for a SPECIAL VALUE for Greene team platinum!!! Even had a 10% off coupon. Had to pass though because it certainly wasn't any special value at that price. Just can't bring myself to pay a big box store $274 minus 10% a ton and have to bring them home when I can get good pellets delivered for 219 from a small Maine business. He will be getting a call from me before I give Lowes my money.

I would have thought that PA would be gushing greene team pellets seeing that the manufacturing plant is there.
Some years they are hard to come by here in Maine, but this year they have been plentiful.
They are a great pellet (imo) and I look for them second (Somersets first).
Have been blessed with seven ton this year,
looking to fill out pellet pig membership form soon.
Stay warm !
