C L funny/very safe set-up

Where was this add 5 months ago when I bought the new stove....sure could have saved a lot of money!

I think he has more pipe running through his house than I have going up the chimney

Nothing unusual about the stove and the pipe. Grew up with setups like that and the extra pipe just extracts more of the heat that would otherwise go up the flue. Pook would like it.

Now, their choice of humidification is odd... You'd think the plasic would melt down and the wire short out! We just kept a big old pot on the stove.

[Caveat: I'm not serious... the lack of CTC is scary.]

Good amount of rise before the elbow, has good vertical in the horizontal run... Looks good!

Stove is a tad overpriced though I think...

I just had an idea. Run the chimney pipe through every bedroom.. Should heat great.. I better buy this guys burner, so I can start asap..

he needs a buncha them magic heat things in his chimney going thru the house, then he can blow the heat right off the chimney into the rooms he wants it in. im guessing his insurance agent knows nothing of this wood stove install.

Yuk it up all you want- there are plenty of barrel stoves out there, and they've been used a long time. Someone paying $100 for a used one is silly, but it's not as unusual as you might think, and it's hard to see what clearances are- that would be my real concern.

We have very first world problems if a barrel stove is an issue.

I don't know if the stove itself is a problem but the single wall pipe right next to the drywall is, and having a plastic humidifier on top isn't smart either

Reminds me of when I was house hunting and I went into this one house. Old cast iron smoke dragon sitting in a very cluttered and unfinished basement. Piped up and out the side of the house. I walk out of the back door of the house into a kind of run down 3 season/sunroom/storage structure attached to the house. I look up and what do I see? The stovepipe is just vented into this 3 season room.

Serious WTF moment. We didn't buy that house.

I'm guessing that it's just a convenient place for the humidifier as the ad says they can't use the stove anymore. No heaty, no melty.

That's the point. Hence the Title "funny/very safe set-up".

And a barrel stove butted up against a combustible wall with a single wall pipe just as close is a problem no matter which world you live in. Again, the point of the post and the funny/cringing part.

So, yeah, I yukked it up. As it is funny.

I think they are selling the humidifier because the Oxygen units come with a humidifier Really
