Hello All,

I think I have a problem with my room temp probe for my Harman Invincible RS so I would like to have it verify but the guy I know who works in electricity told me that it show a resistance but since he do not know how much it should be to be ok he can`t tell me if the cable with the probe is ok. So does anyone knows how much resistance in OHM it should be showing to be ok?

Thanks for your support...

Quick test:
Open window and put temp probe outside. Stove should ramp up feed etc.
Then bring probe inside and hold in front of hot air coming out of stove. Should ramp down.
I will get a resistance reading for you if you still need it after this check.
Let me know.

Hello Lessoil,

I do not have enough wire length to go outside and do your test! I just know that if I put my stove at room temp the feeder goes crazy and the fire gets so big that all the windows goes black and it is crazy!!!!! But so far at stove temp it seem to work well and the pellets burn perfectly and the windows keep clean so does is why I ask so my tech could tell me if it is too much?

Regards

You could hold the end (Thermistor) in front of the hot air.
This should cause the stove to ramp down.
Do you have a meter? I will get a resistance meeting at say 73-74F
In the meantime, try disconnecting/connecting sensor to try to verify good connection.

**Where is your sensor located??**
We had the same thing happen when the sensor was placed on the floor near the stove.
I extended the wire and put the sensor next to the thermostat for the furnace. (Opposite side of room about 4 ft above floor)
I soldered all connections.
Ran the wire under the floor(basement)
The problem has not come back.
