Thanks to several of you who informed readers that the Englander 30 was available for $899 plus tax (when setting your store to Washington Co., PA), including shipping. The price for my local Illinois store was $1199!

Our new Englander 30 should arrive at our front door in two weeks. Looking forward to the big firebox and longer burn times!

Membership here is free ... but it definitely pays! Thanks, hearth.com!

Get that thing installed. The coldest night I ever spent in my life was in St. Louis.

Congrats on the deal. This place is responsible for my purchase of the 30-NC. They talked it up last year.... And I gotta say, it definitely lives up to the hype. . . . . And then some.

x2 on the Pics.

#1 on that. My 30 is as a result of the info on here as well. Great stove, super company. your really gonna enjoy it once you spend some time with it.

Hope you read the fine print! It saids that the money you saved HAS to be split to the first 25 that comment on your post, so count me in LOL.

How cold was it? It was 18°F here last night, and that's pretty mild.

Don't remember. It was 30 years ago. But man it was cold and the wind was brutal. It got down to 18 or 19 here last night. And I don't consider it mild. :smirk:

I've also saved several hundred $$$ on chimney cleanings due to the information I received here on the sooteater. Love the sooteater ... it works great with my cleanout! And I saved several bucks on a moisture meter because of the advice from members to purchase the Harbor Freight meter for $12.99!

So it seems that hearth.com has saved me in excess of $750 over the past four years!!

Pics will be coming in a couple of weeks when we wheel out the old Napoleon 1400 and replace it with the Englander. I'll try to post some before & after pics as well!

When it's windy I wouldn't call it mild either. No wind I can deal with -20°F; no problem, with lots of wind (40+ mph) I don't like anything less than 30°F; or so.

Last night's low here in the St. Louis area was 39. Tomorrow's forecasted high is 62!! We'll usually get 4-6 nights a year that dip below zero ... and about a week when highs fail to reach 15, but other than those few nights, the winters are much milder than the Iowa winters of the '90s!

The ice storms we receive are a different story!

I think it is fair to divide the $300 among Hearth.com members. I will expect my check for $.01 to arrive any day.

And the best part of having both a membership here and an Englander on the way is your free T-shirt courtesy of Brother Bart . . . that should be arriving here shortly.
