Thoughts on this rebuilt kit - 036 engine/crankcase

It says refurbished cylinder.......not sure you can do that as it would cost more to replate it then what its worth. It still has old seals and crank bearings in it too.

I say I would not do it.

I have these kits in 5 saws of my own and about 10 customers saws.

Rob is right on the mark. I'd get the Bailey's kit and be good to go for less $$. These are more than decent parts with a known history / track record.

I did score an 036 pro piston / cylinder and top cover a few years ago that I put on an 034 that was hammered. (but for about $ 75.00) It still runs great and is one of my favorite saws.
