Western MA.
Just had 2 pallets of okies delivered. One had the normal green wrapper the other had red and black letters. When unwrapped the red wrap had new bags that are clear, black and red and called "Platinums" The green wrapped pallet had 2/3 new bags and 1/3 the old white and green ones. I'm assuming the bag is the only thing different.
Hope some retailers don't push the "New" Okie "Platinum" as something extra special like what happened when Greene Team went "platinum".

Yeh, I see what you mean. I just picked up 12 bags today for a little burn evaluation, and yes, the bags are different. They smell the same though. Cat pee.

They burn like a freakin dream. Ash seems higher than my old warm front pellets but the heat is fantastic. I can't run my insert on 5 with them. The house goes to 76 :)

btw the difference in bags I'm betting is from the new bagging plant in Upton Ma, they have the new red/black bags now. I think they were using up old stuff when they first started.

Oakies have been shipping in a mixture of the old bags and the new bags since early 2011. I picked up three pallets earlier this year and got a mixture of both bags. This was before they began bagging / shipping from Upton.

According to the info in another thread the old bags are just old plastic stock. Also I haven't seen them yet, but the bags shipped from Upton are supposed to be labeled as "Packaged in the USA"
