Nice job.

Looks like a good spot to have a huge long stack.

Wow...that is one looooong stack

Impressive!
I can't even keep a 15 foot long row from falling over, and that's with support from behind!

I like a long stack...it's much easier for me to see how much wood I have left.

and keeps me honest with my cord vs. face cord mental struggles.

It does suck to have the wind or poor stacking knock it over though...

By the third or fourth time you get pretty good at getting it balanced. :)

We get so much high wind where I live, those stacks would be over in no time. Very impressive LONG row! Way to go! Some great wood there.

Tell us about that body of water. Are you lake front? Looks like water in the back ground.

Some here ask what is the " Optimum" way to stack wood so it seasons faster & well.
These pictures are it ;)
Good air, good sun, single row, off the ground on pallets

Great pictures.
Is that a monster maul ?
Chair needs to be back from the pile 20' facing toward the wood so you can sit & enjoy the view :) (with an MGD)

Good job!

At the bottom of the page (from your link) there is another link to an app called Leaf Snap. It is free. I've used it a few times. It allows you to take a photo of a leaf and compare it to known species but it doesn't ID the leaf for you. http://itunes.apple.com/tw/app/leafsnap/id430649829?mt=8

Sorry about the double post. I kept seeing an error message that my post couldn't be submitted. After I removed the link, it submitted.

It definitely has been a long time without posting. Good that you are back. That is a nice stack of wood. What kinds of wood do you have there?

Nice wood wall you have there JP!

Nice stack. Looks like it's nicely seasoned too.

Looks great JP. The area looks like it gets plenty of sun and wind.

I burn anything I can scrounge within about a 30 mile radius...

I have a buddy that buys and removes walnut and I've been able to get alot of tops from him.

This years stack is walnut, silver maple, black locust, oak, black cherry, mulberry, popple or cottonwood, pine and apple...

So you can see I don't discriminate. :)

Olpotosi was a beer my grandpa talked up back in the day and I am gonna have to get over there for the tour. I'm only about an hour away.

I just got a call last night from a guy (tree service) that has a load of wood to drop off this am...first time I've had that happen...

Stay warm!
