Stove is easy to use. Good access to fire box for a small stove. Beautiful fit and finish (enamel). Draws excellent despite reviews to the contrary. Very good Wife Acceptance factor. Heated entire house during early phases of construction! No puffing, even with doors wide open. Window glass mostly clear with hot fire.
Heavy as hell. Must burn only properly dried and seasoned wood. Gets hot quickly so watch it when wide open. First two or three (hot) fires are pretty smelly, but no smoking. Odor soon dissipates.
I grew up with stoves and this one outclasses them all. The fire box is not big enough to hold a fire all night, so I don't consider this a fault. The upside is that I only need three or four modest peices of wood to fill it! This thing burns wood completely- nothing left but ashes. Very stingy with the wood supply. Enamel finish is really easy to keep clean.
