Likes: When this stove is good and warmed up it puts out a lot of heat. Almost too much for my med. sized house. But better to have too much than not enough. Just open a window and get some fresh cool air into house. Not such a bad thing.

Dislikes: Puffing! Puffing! Puffing! I have lived with this stove for 8 seasons and can tell anyone thinking of purchasing one that unless you pay close attention to what you are doing your house will smell like smoke all the time. I have an exellent chimney with great draft.(8"+ all the way up with draft that is very strong.) I have watched this stove burn many hours and can see why this puffing accurs. When you close the damper and route smoke through cat. I don`t think it can flow enough air. The flames will slowly die out then smoke builds up in the fire box and then they ignite and,WHOOSH, smoke comes "puffing" out of the fresh air intake. Trust me on this one. You will have this happen to you a lot until you grow accustomed to this stove. I burn 4-6 cords of wood a year and it still happens to me. The stove has to have a good bed of coals when you load new wood into it. Also, if you need parts for your stove you had better have a lot of time to wait for them. And when I say a lot of time I mean months! I waited 4 weeks for a new catalytic convertor and majestic had not even shipped yet.Gave up and ordered an aftermarket one.

Comments: I have read other reviews similar to this. Unless you can pick this stove up really cheap and intend to use it in a wokshop or garage I can`t recommend this stove to anyone.
