Quadrafire Stoves
Likes: Top Loading, can burn with front doors (with spark screen) open, beautiful stove, chance of chimney fire greatly diminished if burning in the downdraft mode.

Dislikes: No ashpan, occastionally backpuffs, some deformation of cast parts over time

Comments: We heat 100% with wood (27 years), and this stove provides 90% of our heat. The stove is quite efficient. While I read some less than positive comments about VC stoves made today, our older unit (non cat) has been a wonderful unit that i would cheerfully recommend to anyone who is a serious woodburner.
