The Mt Vernon was a new pellet or corn stove in 2003. It is absolutely amazing. It has 60,000BTU so it heats more than sufficiently. It lights with an electronic ignitor. my old corn stove used a starting gel that was a pain. If it gets too hot in the room, you just turn down the heat and you can cut the stove back to 15,000BTUs. The stove looks amazing, its cast iron, and a beautiful look, vary traditional and antique looking
It is a large stove, some 28 inches deep or so, but that is largely due to the big hopper.
Great stove, my gas bill decreased by about 70% in January because i was using the corn stove. Quadrafire has done a great job with this stove. I visited this particular dealer due to a recomendation from a friend who has purchased a Quadrafire 1200 corn stove from them, and he was right about the product..its the best on the market, and the sales people were great.
