Likes: We have a large open house with cathedral ceilings. When this stove is loaded it can really crank out the heat. I was drawn to the stove not only for its BTU rating but also for it's design - its a beautiful stove and I have enjoyed that aspect of the stove.

Dislikes: Backpuffing of smoke into the house. Vermont Castings was not very helpful. The dealer suggested a higher chimney which we did and it still backpuffs. At this point I am really sick of living with the smoke. It's unpredictable and can be quite intense.

Comments: I am ready for a new stove. When I was first looking at this stove I went to a dealer who said "I have stopped selling it - it backpuffs and I think its a design flaw" At the time I thought it was just him being cranky - but after a number of years now I have to agree.
