Likes: Good aesthetics. Large window for small stove. Burns efficiently.

Dislikes: Ashes collect inside door. Top vent doesn't leave much room on the top of stove. The painted version smokes a LOT when breaking in. Jotul should prefire these units at the factory, instead of forcing the consumer to breathe noxious fumes.

Comments: The heat output with double-wall pipe is good for small areas (300 to 500 sqft). Don't plan on heating large areas with this stove.

This stove will not burn all night. With softwood, you will get about 3-4 hours before the embers are gone.

If you buy the painted model, consider setting this stove up outside with a temporary stove pipe for the break-in period, since the stove fumes a lot for the first half-dozen fires.

The kindling starter isn't very functional, although opening the ash door a crack makes a blast furnace!
