Other Information about the Home and Stove
Room Size (Sq ft): 500 | House Size (Sq feet): 1500
Bought in 1999 , Price Paid: came w/ house
Location : douglassville, PA 19518, USA
Purchased from: Select Store Type -

Likes: Top load convenience, large capacity, good burn time >8hr, still sealed quite well after ~15yrs.

Dislikes: Older unit so no cat or secondary burn, no ash tray - must shovel, damper taps under certain conditions.

Comments: This unit was already installed when I purchased my house in 1999. I believe it was manufactured ~1989. I have used it for several seasons as primary heat burning about 2 cords per season plus ~100gal oil (with thermostat set on 55) and a few kWh for a space heater in the bathroom. The doors are solid cast iron with no glass but it can be run with doors open on an 8" flue. My flue is only 6" so I must keep it shut.. oh well! it's warm and at least I can hear the fire.
