Other Information about the Home and Stove
Room Size (Sq ft): 1100 sq. ft. | House Size (Sq feet): 3300 sq. ft.
Bought in 2004 , Price Paid: $2659.00
Location : Reinholds, PA 17569, United States
Purchased from: Fireplace Retail Store - Wood Heat

Likes: Heat wise it performs pretty good. Throws good hot air. It heats my 1100 sq. ft. basement with no insulation. Maintenance of stove is easy. Nice looking unit.

Dislikes: Poor quality. Behind the walls, sides, and top, plates inside the firebox, very thin metal. I'll be lucky to get 4-5 years use before it rusts out. Inside of fire box is getting rusty already with only 4 months of use since it was installed. Also has broken welds on bottom inside lip plate that butts up against the glass door. Also broken welds on the burnpot. There are holes burned in the floor of the stove where welding was done underneath the stove at the factory.

Comments: Bottom line is I would not recommend Wood Heat or a QuadraFire stove to anyone in the market for a stove. Getting quality issues and repairs takin' care of is a waste of time. I spent the first 4 months of ownership trying to get these quality issues taken care of and got nothing fixed. All I got were empty promises and no return phone calls. So I guess I will have to take my lumps, hope to get a good 4 years out of my Mt. Vernon, and when the time comes, I will purchase a Harman pellet stove instead of trying to deal with Wood Heat that doesn't take care of there customers and another QuadraFire stove that has quality issues.
