Likes: Excellent heat capacity. Ignites every time. Low maintenance and easy adjusting. Clean outs once every ten days. Much cleaner than firewood. StovesDirect.com tech help returned my call in 24 hrs. to explain how to clean the photo-eye lens.

Dislikes: Cleaning photo-eye glass cover every month is a must or unit will shut down after initial ignition. Cleaning takes about 5 minutes (5 screws to remove inside the hopper, spray and wipe lens, replace). Other than that, no problems.

Comments: Used the unit 24/7 from November 2004 through March 2005 and never turned the oil burner on. Should pay for itself in 2 years. Note: Installed the unit myself in about 2 hours through an existing hole in the chimney.
