This stove rocks! So far we've run Dry Creek, LG, and Energex pellets in this thing and it runs awesome on all of those brands. In addition, the Prescott model can burn a 50-50 mix of corn which is a huge plus since corn burns hotter and cost a little less than the wood pellets.
Not all pellet stoves can burn corn but this one is made from the factory to do so. The interior of the stove is lined with firebrick in order to sustain the additional heat that is created from burning corn.
The stove is a heavy mutha! 300lbs to be exact. Ya need a lot of muscle to get it in the house and into it's resting place. Other than that, no other cons.
My brother and I installed it ourselves using a full ss flex liner all the way up our existing chimney with a ss rain cap on top which is secured to the top of the flue with concrete anchoring screws. The stove is a free standing but we have it sitting on our fireplace hearth. This way it was easy to run the pipe right up the chimney.
